Lena is a professional model. She was let down at the last miinute and so I grabbed the opportunity to work with her. We shot four locations in three different outfits during the course of our time in London.
I've always liked the look of "goths". I really don't know why but I always have. I thinik it's because they're different, consciously different. Nicole put out a casting call for a collaborator and I responded
About a year ago, I asked if anyone would like me to take pictures of their family or children. One of the people who responded was Sarah and she asked me to take pictures of her then, one year old girl Pippa.
Emily was 5 or 6 weeks old when these shots were taken. She was a lovely subject and it was a real honour to be asked to photograph her.
I've shot Alixxia once before. She's great fun to work with and has an awesome goth / rocker chick look going on. I had in mind that I wanted to try a "half lit" set. I knew that she had a an awesome horn headset and so the "Demoness" was born.
One of the things I really wanted to do was to walk the Brooklyn bridge
The fourth collection from my trip to New York is of course the Statue Of Liberty.
WTC Memorial Garden. Given the impression we're fed of how the USA is a land of bigger and brasher is best and if it's bigger than that then that's even better. I was pleasantly surprised by the WTC memorial. It was moving without being cloying.
Recently, I was in Oslo, Norway. I was there for a gig but took the opportunity to take a bit of a break. It being Autumn the tress were turning and leaves were falling. I really liked the city and hope to return someday.
